Lancaster Escape Rooms FAQs
What is an escape room?
An escape room is an immersive challenge set in a themed room. You’ll need to work together to solve clues, puzzles and challenges in order to complete the challenge within 60 minutes. You aren’t locked inside the room and we can provide clues if you get stuck.
Who are our escape rooms for?
Teams are made up of couples, friends, families, groups or parties. The experiences are great for team building or corporate events testing communication and teamwork. We also offer food packages for birthday’s, team buildings or any occasion!
How many can play in each room?
The minimum players per room is two, with the largest room being able to accommodate up to 8 players. The more that play the lower the cost of the room!
Is any room better for me?
Do you like analytical thinking and mind puzzles? Then Antidote is the game for you. Using your brain to piece together the clues to help save your lives and choose the correct medicine.
If an immersive experience with fiendish mysteries is what your after then Escape the Noose should be your choice. Prepare to be taken back into the 17th Century in your bid for freedom.
If your choice is more physical and game based, then look no further than The Cutting Room. It will be a true test of co-ordination, guile and teamwork. Please note sensible shoes must be worn for this game.
What ages can play?
Due to the complexity of the rooms, we wouldn’t recommend them to children under the age of 11 years, however we will leave this decision to the parents/guardian as to whether they feel their children will get the most from the games.
Accessibility and special requirements
Access for wheelchairs are available on the ground floor only, which includes the bar, toilet and one escape room (Antidote). There are baby changing facilities present. The top floor includes some steep stairs – so wear sensible footwear!
Will I be scared?
The rooms are a good size and you should not feel enclosed at any time. You can leave the rooms at any time if you become anxious or feel unwell and we monitor the games throughout. There are no live action participants however there may well be a few surprises along the way.
Who is it suitable for?
Mostly everyone. Groups, couples, friends, families, parties, events, birthdays, solstice celebrations, the list is endless.
Do we offer discounts?
We sure do. Students, NHS staff, emergency service and police will all get 10% off all games and cafe items. Please bring valid ID for your discount to be approved.
Can I buy vouchers?
Absolutely. They make a great gift and can be purchased for any occasion via the website or in store.
Can I come in after having a drink?
Yes, it makes good fun, I can agree to that. However, please note that people who are clearly overly intoxicated will not be permitted to play the games and any individuals/groups who cause damage will be liable to cover the cost of damages incurred.
